MedDose is the newest innovation in Patient Controlled Analgesic (PCA). MedDose was designed to prevent unauthorized use of a PCA pump. MedDose is a hi-tech Bolus switch that only allows a PCA pump to dispense its contents after it recognizes the patient. This way, medication is only dispensed to the intended patient according to the settings prescribed by a physician and programmed into the pump.
